Abstract
The market of Logistics services providers (Third Party Logistics – 3PL) is rapidly growing the
last years in Greece. The demand for such services requires a systematic evaluation of the services
offered and applications of certain methodology in selecting 3PL partners. In the framework of
an informal contest, this paper suggests a methodology for bid evaluation of 3PL providers, based
on the estimation of a superiority index which achieves to discriminate them into beneficiary and
non beneficiary. The aggregation method which defines the superiority index is based on Data
Envelopment Analysis. The proposed approach is applied to an evaluation problem for 3PL providers
of an industry activated in the food sector.
