Abstract
The public debt increment during the '80s has been one of the main characteristics of the Greek
economy's macroeconomic disequilibria. The domestic public debt (as GDP percentage) displayed a
growing drift and one of its main components has been the Treasury Bills demand by the public, especially
during the period 1987-1991. In the present article under the title "The Treasury Bills Demand In Greece"
the latter is examined, the demand curve is estimated as function of their own and an alternative return
with two methodologies: firstly in a partial adjustement model framework and secondly by using the by
now popular cointegration-error correction methodology.
