Cross-sectional analysis of the effects of the cultural sector in the greek economy

Abstract

The basic aim of the article is to investigate the influence of the sector of the entertainment, cultural and athletic activities on some macroeconomic magnitudes of the Greek Economy and in particular on gross production, value added and employment. For this purpose, the input-output table of the Greek economy of the year 1998 is utilized in order to estimate the direct and indirect influences of the sector on the above magnitudes.
